Benevolence and Humanity

孟（mèng）子（zǐ）曰（yuē）：（）“（）仁（rén）也（yě）者（zhě），（）人（rén）也（yě）；（）合（hé）而（ér）言（yán）之（zhī），（）道（dào）也（yě）。（）”（）

Mencius said, “Benevolence is what makes us human; joined together, humanity and benevolence form the Way.”
