Mencius said, “That would be like Feng Fu taking up tiger fighting again. In Jin, a man named Feng Fu was skilled at wrestling tigers, but later became a respectable scholar. One day in the countryside, he found a crowd pursuing a tiger. The animal had its back to a ridge, and no one dared approach. Seeing Feng Fu, they hurried to welcome him. He rolled up his sleeves and stepped down from his carriage, delighting the crowd; those who regarded him as a scholar laughed at him.”
