一场没有停下来的相逢 · A Meeting That Barely Stops
题目中的“逢”不是约好的会面，而是两条相反路线偶然交会：诗人向西，入京使向东。双方都在马上，连纸笔也来不及准备。诗只抓住回头望乡、泪湿衣袖和托人口信三个动作，谈话几乎没有展开，相逢便结束了。
The meeting is not arranged. Two opposing routes happen to cross: the poet travels west while the messenger heads east to the capital. Both remain mounted, without even the means to write. The poem catches three actions—looking homeward, wetting the sleeves, entrusting a message—and the encounter ends before a conversation can properly begin.
为什么只报平安 · Why the Message Says Only I Am Safe
前两句明明写得情绪强烈，最后却没有托付长信，只说“报平安”。这不是思念突然变淡，而是口信必须简短，也是远行者对家人的体谅。自己可以在路上流泪，传回家的话却要让人放心。两种语气放在一起，人物就显得真切。
The first couplet is openly emotional, yet the final request contains no long confession, only news of safety. The longing has not faded. A spoken message must be brief, and the traveler wants to ease his family's concern. He may weep on the road, but the words sent home are reassuring. The contrast makes the speaker immediate and human.
